Hi everyone!

I am new here and i'm for Montreal in Canada. I will probably ride a Kawasaki z1000 this spring. I'm looking at the 2013 special edition, and the 2014 special edition. The best prices i have found for the 2014 is 12650$CAD brand new, and 9500$CAD for the 2013 with only 2300km! All taxes included in these prices. But the question here is, does the 2014 really worth it for a difference of 3350$CAD ? Can you tell me about your experience with both of these bikes?

Thank you!:p

(My english may not be perfect, but i'm trying my best  )

I was going to say I like the looks of my 15 better than the 13, but looks is a totally personal thing..... I was trying to be subjective to actual reasons other than looks. But here's a shameless photo of my black 15:p

I really like the front half of the gen4, but the tail just doesn't do it for me. I wish I could have a gen4 front and a gen3 rear, lol!

I have owned both mate. The LED headlight is the best headlight I have ever used on a motorcycle. Its that bright you see it lighting up the road during the day. I have a 14 now. There is a little difference between the 2 bikes as the forks are different, shock linkage, ecu etc etc. Bang for buck I would go with the 14 as I do like the look and the updates have refined what is really a good bike anyway. Either one you will enjoy and have a grin from ear to ear when riding :eek:ccasion:

the 2010-2013 is fine.. i would like the 2014 for seat height and riding position, as im short lol..
there's also ready to buy upgrades for the 2010-2013 (performance) but anyway whatever you like better.. also i thought the 6th gear of the 2014 was better than the 2013 for touring.. if somebody wanted to trade my 2010 (with all upgrades) with a 2014 i would :)

here's mine though its a 2010

I have a k12 and i really love it,lots of mods available and if you want more punch Ivan as what it take to unlesh the beast !!

Tu peux avoir de meilleur deals sur les 2012-2013 usagé a cause de la sortie de la derniere generation, attention le monde abuse aussi sur le prix au printemps ici.

What BS about Ivan, sorry. as it stands with the 14 you do full system, PCV which you do with Ivan anyway. Whack on a Ivan FCE and bang 127hp straight to 144hp at the backwheel. Yes a reflash will do wonders too but the latest update for the gen3 took how long.... When he finally gets to the 14 its going to take sometime to produce the end result he has achieved with the 13

Ride'm both then decide. The Gen 4 frame is more narrow than the Gen 3 and my 5'9" frame can flat foot the G4. But I have zero issues with my G3 -as far as that goes.

Looks? ...you either luv the new look or hate it.

If it comes down to $, ask yourself if you will be happy with the G3 when you pull up along side the G4 :D

I luv my G3. Won't sell or trade for nuttin

I thought the frame was the same between the 3rd and 4th gen.

Except for the subframe.

14 for sure.
I don't even like the 15's color scheme.

Its made for shorter riders i think.. but tall people can use it too because there is enough leg room.. just handle bar for the taller crowd is too close for them when sitting on gen 4 i believe. The bike is perfect for myself imo..
Just like the suzuki ss bikes they have narrow midsection so easy to put both feet.. yamha esp r6 i was in tripod.. zx10r even is no exception..
