wel itsm because i like the look of a 8K light, but i guess there are leds in that color ?
The LED headlamp in your bike is sold as a unit, and the LEDs can't be replaced individually in a cost-effective manner.

Note here that your hedlamp unit costs $1100 new. You probably won't improve on it without spending at least that. - Kawasaki part # 23001-0034

Though if you do replace your entire unit, please drop off your old one at my house. :)

If you really want 8k LEDs, you might want to look into an auxiliary light, like a foglamp? Revzilla carries a Denali line, as well as hardware to mount them on the forks or the front fender.

TBH, the gen 4 LED lights aren't that good. Well, the low beams at least. Riding at night is pure **** with only the low beams. Why? Well, it has to be projected close, and then you cannot see very far. And if you increase the distance (raise the beam), it gets so dull that you can't see much. You are basically forced to use high beams.

Riding with the high beams on is good as far as visibility goes, but you will piss off a lot of drivers. I lowered my high beams as low as possible but it still blinds people. I know this because I keep getting flashed. Every single time I went out at night, on coming cars flashed me. I ride in more rural areas, so the roads I take are very dark, hence it must be blinding for them compared to riding in brightly lit cities.

My FZ07 has xenons in it, only low beam xenons, and it is 100% awesome. More light on the road than my z1000 with high beams on, and I never get flashed.

Anyway, I basically don't ride my z1000 at night anymore. I just ride my other bike. I know, lame, but hey.

Here is a vid I made awhile back showing my fz07 HIDs (xenon) and z1000 low beams- to be fair, this is when I raised the low beams thinking it will help. I have since lowered the low beams back to stock position. I think I have a raw vid somewhere with the z1000 using high beams on, but I need to find it.

That's pretty understandable. Thanks for sharing the video. I never thought they would be that bad. Maybe you could remove the whole unit and replace with a set of dual 5" round units like an older Triumph Speed Triple or something?

Thats weird...I just drove my 2016 Z out in the dark yester...mine go really far and really wide. Nothing like in your video, but of course everything looks different in video. I love my LED lights..maybe mine are just really bright or yours are...a lemon.

I would have to agree with zedonek...I don’t particularly care for riding in the dark on my ‘15. The low beams cut off very short and going around curves, you have very little heads up as to what is coming. They are bright but just don’t reach very far.
