2010 Z1000 Ride with GoPro Top Speed run

Thanks for the pms ect..To answer your questions the bike is 100% bone stock off the showroom floor and the speedo is set to MPH not kilometers.I believe in the vid the top speed was 159 altho we never tried laying down on the bike or pulling the mirrors ect as it was just a stocker slow street bike...But a very fun machine for goofing around town.I believe we will keep it with our collection as its a fun little bike thats very inexpensive..

Wheelies are cool, but make you look stupid without any gear on. Loosen up on the controls a bit too, looks like you have a death grip on the bars.

On a lighter note love the gopro, Ive got one myself and can't get enough of it. I have yet to get a vid of the bike up yet though.

So thats what you fools do for fun out there in the flatlands, eh? High speed runs up and down the road, sprinkled with wheelies....

I cant believe you are riding like that with no gloves or jacket on. NUTS!

I dont agree with riding like that with no gear either but give him a break. dont tell me that you never rode with out a jacket or gloves. we have 90 F today and I ll ride to work I doubt I ll take a jacket with me. I ll be doing 65 -70 on the highway enjoying the ride. In Ohio you dont even have to wear a helmet after 1 year of having the endorsment. Again I dont agree but thats how it is. every individual can think of himself what is right and what is not.

So-Crates I m not trying to start an argument. I m just stating my opinion. Its always smart to dress up for the ride.

I can HONESTLY tell you that I have never ridden without a jacket on. Or gloves. OK, once back when I first learned how to ride, I rode three blocks with no helmet or jacket - and flew head first over a car that decided to pull a U turn in front of me. Since then - NEVER have I ridden without protection. I dont care how hot outside it is - I have ventilated leather jackets, and I have a couple of mesh jackets I can wear as well. I have a Bell Star helmet - best ventilated helmet on the market. I wear overpants (if not wearing leather pants that are ventilated) and boots and gloves. My motto is: "sweat washes off. road rash doesnt."

That said, I cannot believe this guy is doing 150+ miles an hour, yanking wheelies...and wearing a t-shirt while doing so. The "fool" comment was a generalization - we are all fools on these bikes!!! I wasnt meaning to insult him with that comment. But he is nuts to ride 150+mph with absolutely no protection.

Have you ever had a bird fly into you while riding? I had one hit me while I was doing 50mph, and it nearly knocked me off the bike and knocked the wind out of me. Had I NOT been wearing leathers, I cant imagine how painful that would have been....I also cant imagine what it would have been like had I been going 200% faster than the 50mph I was doing...
