Has anyone ever shipped their bike? I will be heading to Vegas for the summer (with the potential of staying quite some time) and will be shipping my bike out there from Virginia. Anyone have a company they recommend?

I used Flat Rate Movers when we moved from CA to VA in 2009. They crated it up nicely. No problems.

I bought my bike on ebay and they had several recommendations. I did Allied Van Lines... they have a different transport name for bikes, cars etc. Lots of other shippers use them also. It was $400 to ship from Atlanta, GA to Lakewood, Ca. Even though they say it will be shipped in a closed truck it sure came real dirty, it all washed off. It only took 7 days to get here start to finish.
