My wife refuses to let me ride in the rain...and I dont much like it either, so thats all good... And, because the cost of parking in San Francisco shot up 300% over last year (from $1.50/day to $6/day overnight!) , my commuting is carefully planned. It either costs me $64/week in BART tickets, or $100/month for parking in the garage. This month began with torrential rains, so I bought BART tickets...and then the rain stopped and it shot up to 75+ for a weekend - but now its back down to cold as hell (37-42* in mornings), and calling for possible showers the rest of this week.
So I didnt ride, and dont plan to begin commuting on it until next month, when I dump BART and buy the monthly parking pass.
Best part is, I've figured out how to beat the FASTRAK lane on the bridge - so that saves me money every time I cross it ($1.50/day for carpoolers/motorcycles) If anyone wants to know how, send me a PM - Im not about to put the secret on the Net so the MTA can read about it and fix the problem...
