Ok guys, I found one of these threads on a truck forum and thought it would be cool to see what you guys did to your Z today. It turned out to be a lot of fun and very informative too.

Everyday is today (if that makes sense), so if you work it on today post it up and when you come back the next day after wrenching post it up too.

Ill start it off.

Today I changed the oil. Used 4qts of Amsoil 10-w40 and factory filter. Also painted my tire letters white. I dont know if I like it or not and I need to clean them up a bit.

Thanks

Matt

Hi Notabiker. I was up there Sunday myself. Road from the Queen Mary to Crystal Lake and back. The CHP was up there writing lots of tickets! It is a nice place to ride for sure. Hwy 2 is open again from Wrightwood the Newcomb's Ranch and beyond.

Installed new Rizoma grips before 7 am.

Going to pick up a filter and oil since the poor thing sat for a year with only being riden twice in March.

Looking at CRG Arrows and new barends to mount them on.

Taking the battery in to be charged. It and my battey charger are dead and I forgot to put my trickle charger on it before leaving in March.

Then she will be washed.

Rode to the Lowell bike nite in Lowell MA, Prob about 500 bikes or so. Only saw two street fighter bikes. My Z and a Tuono. Lots and lots of Hyabusa, GSXR, ZX, and so on. Switched bikes for a bit with my buddy. He has a 2010 GSXR 750. Was I ever glad to get my Z back. Almost had to brawl with him to get it back..He has wanted a Z for a while but had never ridden one. I think he is hooked.. I have to say it felt pretty good to have one of the exlusives bikes there today. Damn! I love my Z!!!

I dusted it off after the weekend ride. Sat looking at it with friends for an hour trying to decide if I want to shell out $600 for a set of 2nd gen OEM BLACK Z rims or not.
