Hello. Little bit about myself. I've been riding since 04 and haven't stopped until now (more on that in a minute). My previous bikes are in my sig. but I love two wheels. I average about 9-12K a year on my bikes commuting and hunting for twisty roads. I've always liked the Z1000 but the 2010 has made the top of my list

I'm US Navy and I'll be deploying Nov. 6th for 12 months to a tiny Island in the Indian Ocean. No family and no toys so it's not going to be alot of fun. Due to this I sold my Speed Triple last weekend. No sense in having a bike sit in the garage for a year. Besides, the wifey gave me a thumbs up on a new bike when I get back home. Needless to say I have plenty of time to wish and want for a new Z1000 or Ninja 1000. Not sure which one yet. Anyway, that's me, hello and if anyone is looking to unload there Z in Oct/Nov 2011 let me know.

howdy, i have a 2004 Z 1000 i love it. my friend has a new 2010 z 1000. he also loves his bike. the Z 1000 is a do it all bike. i did a demo ride on a 09 speed triple. it was fun. but i feel that the z is a better bike. after the demo ride i was still in love with my kawasaki. sounds like you have a good wife. be good and be safe.

Welcome to the forum. I just traded by Buell for a 2010 Z1000 and have not looked back. I couldn't imagine going a year with out a bike. Anyways welcome and good luck in the up coming year.
