:dontknow:i have kz 1000 barn find,looks almost new,12,000 mi.,but motor and carbs stuck, stored over 30 yrs.,have removed carbs for rebuild, filled cylinders with pb blaster for 1 weak still stuck. have now added carb cleaner to pbblaster, any advice or suggestions [email protected]

If you take the engine out, you can use a floor press for pistons. I have seen it done on a mower. But before that use the PB blaster over and over. I hope is not too bad in there. I mean rusted. Good luck!!!

I hope you are lucky and its only a ring that is bad. I guess a hammer and a piece of wood would do it. Cant you find an other motor? I believe if you know a mechanic wouldn't be that difficult to swap the engine.

Dont know why...

I just thought if you couldnt fill it up with more fluids...Plug up any leaks/overfills...And tip uside down to rest so that pistons and head fill up with fluid....Versus mostly the crankshaft and piston tops....Hmmmm

And the KZ has that sweet crankcase breather port..hmmmmm.

With fluids use rubber air line fitting and create pressure wash through the case port.....100psi diesel etc power rinse.........


Regardless though no matter the walls atleast need a fixin...Rings 2...
