This year I got a pair of new Tour Master textile pants and a new helmet. The pants have a removable liner which will be nice to have for the colder days, but can be removed for the warm ones as well. Also bought a new Scorpion EXO-400 helmet. Had to take advantage of the $49.99 deal they had going on for a while on these helmets torwards the latter end of last year. Other than that, my jackets, boots and gloves are all in good shape with a lot of life left in them.

I might get a new helmet this year. My Arai has been fantastic, but I'm really leaning towards a Bell Star with their SOLUS lens. Freakin' expensive, though, so who knows.

Other than that, I have way too much gear. Three jackets, one pair of pants, two pairs of gloves, a one-piece textile suit and one-piece leather suit.

I just got myself a smoking deal at Cycle Gear - a Dainese jacket for $250!!! Regular price was $500, and it was last year's model. Who cares? Its white, so it matches the bike too. Tried to ride with it a couple of weeks ago - and this is a summer jacket!! I was impressed with how well it vented - I froze my butt off!! Ended up stopping at a gas station and grabbing some plastic garbage bags to stuff in the jacket and block the wind on the way home!

I am also soliciting donations for the next purchase - Bell Star Cerwinske helmet. Not to be crude, but I almost masturbated over that helmet!!! Its a work of ART!

I agree the price is steep - but when you consider that Aria and Shoei helmets can get up into the $700+ price range, $600 for a limited edition art work that is also a functional helmet that has all the bells and whistles that Aria has...it seems less ridiculously expensive.

Still ridiculously expensive - just less so when you consider those factors!


So, now that everyone sees how rational I am - ANYONE?? Donations?!?!?! PUH_LEASE!!!! Because I cant afford this thing on the state salary I make (despite the general public seeming to think that public workers are rolling in dough...)
