A perfect Pacific Northwest kinda day for riding today. Saw 84° to 93° depending upon where I was. ...93 was a bit warm but was usually in route to higher elevation.
Just some random pics here and there with a couple from the Oregon Garden ... nothing epic there when I rode around the area. Guess that's why they want you to pay admission first!

I was there in that exact same location on August 21st of 2017 to watch the total solar eclipse that ran through Silverton, albeit with car. Drove up from Los Angeles pulling a rented camper trailer because EVERY hotel was sold out like 3 months in advance, or if not then they were charging $950 /night. Spent 4 days up there, visiting all the local attractions including the Oregon Gardens. Good times...

Here's one from a recent day trip up to Idyllwild, CA. The beauty of Southern California is that you can go from desolate desserts with 110*F temps, up to pine covered forests with 70*F in a matter of a half hour.

...and then do some laps going up and down the side of the mountain a few times. Usually the roads are pretty empty of both cars and police.

Wow! Yes, I remember that day well. Took an early morning ride on my wife's three wheel bicycle around the neighborhood to see how ppl were setting up for the big day! haha had coffee in hand while pushing the pedals -while they squeaked haha! what a hoot! Then I got on the Z and headed towards Silverton. So many people using their flat farm land to view the eclipse. Was a crazy sight. Glad you guys stayed and had a good time.--Tried to find the pics of the eclipse from the house but am having trouble finding them. Was really weird looking down the dark street at full eclipse. btw that's a cool lil trailer. ..woulda fit nicely on the side of my house on the dead end street. ...have an outlet on that side too  haha only wouldda changed you 500 per night LMAO! jk! woulda been free.

Not on the bike, but the missus and I took a dander around the old abandoned village of Galboly, which was used as Runestone in the valley of Arryn in Game of Thrones.

Very peaceful and not easy to find,so quiet. We were the only folk there. The steep climb also puts off the less than fit. A solitary monk lived here until he died in 2013 at age 73.

More info in the link for anyone interested.
