if you like to stunt, wheelie, or just generally beat on you bike does it bother you.. i have never been one to abuse my machines unless it is necessary. i do go to the drag strip once in a while ,or me and my friend do a few speed contests on a safe road. otherwise i pamper my bike. i have always been that way.
to take a new bike and thrash the hell out of it makes my skin crawl.
maybe it is just a tool to you nothing more .THAT IS OK:eek:ccasion:

I guess it depends on your definition of "beat" on it. I slide into corners and push it to the limits of traction, hit the rev limiter on occasion but usually keep it about 500rpm under, I lift the front wheel on occasion from power wheelies. I'm always on the throttle like I'm being chased by a swarm of killer bees. But I take care of it, maintain it, wash it, fix every little broken thing if there are any, caress it and tell it I love it too. :D

Just because I put her through the wringer doesn't mean I beat her. I'll just call it rough with her, but she likes it and that's how she was born to be treated. She tells me so by screaming when I do and begging me to do it more.;)

i baby my bike all the time. took to the limiter just once in first gear on the back wheel. now that second gear wheelies are so easy. don't have to worry about that any more. don't have to redline mine to have fun. actually it is more fun to short shift to 2nd now and wheelie. if i stay in it in the gears it spins. 5-7 grand in second or third twist hard and it spins. will have to find a better tire. i service regularly. use quality gas and oil and filers. keep her clean, and ride her like she was meant to be ridden. hope she doesn't throw me off, like the rex did in 04. oh yeah put 35,000 miles on the rex just like that and ran just as good the day i sold her as she ever did. 25,000 miles after the get off.:screwy::screwy::screwy:

i did a 3rd gear roll on the other day and when that thing hit 7,000 rpm all hell broke loose. it was hard to watch the road and the RPM fly past 10,000.
i am getting older so i am sure it takes less to thrill me than it used to.
i do not need more power, just knowing what my bike is capable of is all i need :headshake::lol:. 85 MPH is fun on a safe road. i cant see somebody holding the speed over a hundred very long.

i agree 0- 100 is where it's at for me. an occasional foray above that. will be changing gearing next weekend for less cruising rpm's not for more top end. 59 at 4 grand is killing me. :screwy::screwy::screwy:
