I recently bought Olin bar end mirrors for my 07 which should have fit (mm size) the handlebar but when I removed the bar ends I found out the handlebar ends have been fitted/welded for the bar end screw. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.
I cut into the handlebar only to find it has a metal core that looks like it runs a couple of inches deep. The Olin has a flanged head about 1/2" that supposed to recess inside the handlebar. I'm not sure what kind of a tool I'd need to rent to bore it out. I'm thinking new handlebars may be my best bet.
i cut the part that goes inside the handlbar off of my crg mirror adaptors where they were flush against the end of the handlebar. new handlebars would probably be the best option if u dont want to modify the adaptors.
