Anyone know the oil filter part number for the new 2011 Ninja ZX1000?
I would imagine it is the same as a zx10r, but am not 100% on that. Are you looking for an OEM number?

I did my first oil change just under 400 miles and the oil had a green tinge. Had an analysis done on the oil and everything looks OK for a new engine other than some fuel dilution. I think that's from all the riding I've done in the cold.

Altorfer Inc. (where I work) does oil analysis. I use it every other oil change on my GMC truck.

I allways used the OEM oil filter for my vehicles, they tried to sell me a K and N filter at the dealership for a dollar more. They like the K and N's because they have a nut on the back of it that makes it easier to install and remove.

The fram pt no. I gave for the 10 Z is black but you could paint it if you want.
I like it black so it blends in behind chin spoiler.
I know I think the one I use is a PH3717 (its an automotive filter) or something like that. I have it wrote down somewhere. :D

I have a HUGE cross reference list.
