i like that the article mentions how it was kawasaki’s answer to the cb750…and crushed it 😜. it’s also interesting how the american motorcycle sale market was large enough to justify the design work. the development of the MC. those bikes were not simple two stroke machines relatively cheap and easy to build. they were pretty high tech for their time. i’ve always favored Kawasaki engines. they always make great horsepower and are reliable as hell. some of that HP is that they do the gearing very well IMO. like a lot of people who watched the original mad max, i instantly wanted one of those bikes. glad the z1 was reborn in 2003. all generations made has been more refined over the years and all have become more desirable in the masses from the vintage to new versions. glad they do the new 900rs retro bike. i like that bike a lot too. thank you for your gift to the world Norimasa Tada!
