Ive noticed my Ninja 1000 which has about 1200km(750mi), has developed a very annoying squeaking sound that seems to be coming from under the tank. Their is no noise during deceleration or coasting, but during throttleing only around the speed of 40-50km(25-30mph), the gear does not matter, nor does the RPM. The noise is very slight but very distracting, please help me out

put some grease on the rubber mounts under your tank and see if that helps....

Earplugs?? That, or put it up on a rear stand and run the motor while looking around the tank area for the cause...

Mine started at around 650 mi. It's at 1075 mi now and the noise has gotten worse with time. I'm no mechanic, but I've been riding liter bikes for 30 years and this sounds internal (tranny or clutch). I'm bummed about it. It makes me nervous. Did you find a fix for yours?

Mine started at 1000miles (1300km)...the only thing I can notice is I've changed my OEM tires with a couple of (stunning and awesome) Dunlop Sportsmart...But the noise started 300miles after tires-change... After a mountain ride with my Zed I begun hearing a weird kind of creak/squeak or similar to the tire skidding on a smooth and hard surface...I can hear it when I open progressive the gas , from 2000 to 3000rpm...and I can hear it more when I'm cornering, when the bike is inclined...Now, at 1500 miles the noise is smaller than before, but there is yet...I can hear it a little bit when I'm in NEUTRAL and the fork bump on a rambling asphalt...

I'm not able to mimic a squeak by moving the fairings or brakelines while parked. Its only happening under acceleration at the lower speeds unless I just can't hear it due to wind noise when gong faster. Started at 1000 miles on a 2011 I just picked up.
