Hey All-

Just wanted to introduce myself. Bought a left over 2010 Z1000 today, traded in my 09 ER6N. Love it so far. Lots of mods planned. Already ordered levers, fender eliminator kit, windscreen. Looking for a factory orange rear seat cowl if anyone can suggest a good place to get it.

buying a bike is just the beginning:eek::eek::thumbsup:
I know all about it. This is my 10th or 11th bike I believe and could never leave any of them alone. Same with the Cars. But to me that is the best part of it, making them your own.

I also traded an ER-6n on my Z1000.

What windscreen did you order?

Rob
No regrets at all on getting ready of the ER-6n. I loved it but it was slow. It did make me realize how much I loved the naked bikes though.

I ordered the windscreen from Kawasaki. I found a couple of eBay that I liked, but figured I would start off with the Kawi one. It is short still and looks good. I am short so I do not need a tall one.

Yeah my ER-6n had some issues... it handled like a cow, the vibration put my hands to sleep, and it liked to find neutral when I would shift from 1st to 2nd (and sometimes from 2nd to 1st). VERY annoying.

Lemme know how the screen works. I have the Ermax one, which I really like, but I'm always curious as to how well others work. BTW did you get any kind of discount on that screen? I saw it was $129.95 on the Kawi website. I emailed BikeBandit about it but they can't get Kawi OEM accessories.

I will let you know how I like it. I got 10% off the MSRP, nothing great, but better then nothing I suppose.

Definitely better than nothing. I'm into my Ermax one about the same amount, maybe more. I had to order it from a shop in Paris since there's no US distributor for Ermax yet. Got it from the same place that I got the screen for my ER-6n.

I had a Givi on the ER-6N which I really liked. I wish they had one for the Zed.

New Today

DadzZ1000-Nice to see someone else just got a 2010 Z. I traded in a Versys yesterday on a new 2010 Z1000 Blk.Loved the V but just needed a bigger adrenaline rush.In fact as I was picking up the Z and I looked over at the V,I had to wonder if maybe I was making a mistake. Two or three blocks later I was having trouble remembering what I traded in.Birmingham is having a nasty winter and from the looks of things it may be a week or two before I can ride it again. In the meantime I will be anxiously awaiting the new Leo Vince Slip ons and probably the factory accessory windscreen. Gotta go,time for sleep,if I can just get the Z off my mind(lottsa luck huh)

Welcome, HAFFAST!

I know what you mean; the night I took delivery of my Z back in October, I got to ride it home in a drizzle. It then rained nonstop for the next two weeks. Freakin' Oregon. That's part of why I moved. :)

Welcome and enjoy it! It has been really nice weather here but I had unplanned surgery just two days after getting it so i cant ride her again for at least another week. I just keep going to the garage and adding coats of Zaino to her to keep her pretty
