Damn .. I need bar end mirrors! Cleans up the front so nicely!

GeneralPatton:

I think these are the sexiest barend mirrors for a streetfighter: http://www.oberon-performance.co.uk/ They used to have a convex mirror that really enhanced your rearview but I couldn't find it right off. You can order these in the USA and save the $$$ postage. Try google or inquire at HTTP://www.bellissimoto.com with your part number etc. I've bought UK stuff from them before.

Hello. I've been reading posts on this site for a while silently and surreptitiously. I recently purchased a 2010 Z1K, black of course, and I love it. I want to replace my mirrors but I have a question? Do you have to replace the OEM bar ends to attach the CRG bar end mirrors?

Hey man... If you get the bar ends that slide into the end of the bars, then you are going to have to literally cut the ends of the bars off, as there is a welded piece inside that has threads for the bar end weights to attach to. Or, get aftermarket bars such as Renthals, and you can install them directly on those bars. One guy on this site installed them by cutting half an inch off the ends of his grips, exposing the bar, then installed the bar end mirror over the bar and used his own stock bar ends...but this is going to bring the bar end about 2 inches inwards, diminishing how well the mirrors work...(because it is installed on the bar before the bar end weights...which are about 2 inches long, rather than installed on the end of the bar end weights!)

I went to Rhinomoto.com and bought a pair of bar end weights that have a cut-out to accommodate CRG bar end mirrors. Very nicely made, and they have "seconds" that will save you about $12/set...mine were fine - the guy said the powder coating was slightly "orange peel like" but I couldnt see it... :2cents:
