plus you'll save money on gas and tires cause your new job will cut into your riding time. wish i had that much control.
Congrats. A guy in our riding group recently started working at CycleGear. Doubt it'll make him rich, but he certainly enjoys what he does.

Motorcycles ...cheaper than ex's anyway...I have 2 of them (ex's that is). This one holds the record. Damn near 15 years. Doesn't hurt that she rides too, when she can. Office job not condusive to bike gear...lol. Unless Apine starts making high heeled boots?...hmmm :) Fishnet riding base gear? A whole new world just opened up! And yes she has a sisiter, but she's a mess.
does she have her own bike, mabe a kawasaki? ha! ha! just kidding. if i ever do get involved again.she'll have to ride, maybe own one we'll see.
my buddy (lives 4hrs away) was telling me about his buddy...
said he's our age; so 42.

and the dude is recently divorced... no biggie. no kids involved

here's the crazy part- he's totally lost his sex drive and he says it's the best thing ever. I'm sure it's related to the divorce... but anyhoo...

He is pretty well off so since she's out of the picture he has bought... a few toys.

a snowmobile
dirtbike
street bike
boat
quad
and a jet ski

he said not caring about getting laid was the best thing that ever happened to him.
lol and that he's removed so much b.s from his life.

anyway I thought it was all pretty funny and crazy. hope you enjoyed the read.

cheers

Well?... doesn't exact make me wanna stand in line at the vets office! But I see his point. Takes all the stress out of that part of life anyway. He'll prolly get more than even now :cool:
Actually the HD's are the brides. May sell the sporty and get her on a ER6N or something like it. Sheeee on the other hand wants a Ducati...

Not unlike the 5000 pairs of shoes she has.

Dare I say more?

my wife wanted me to get a Ducati. that lasted about a night or so. "brad pitt rides one" - she said...
I said "he also rides Angelina!" lol that did not go over well.

I was torn between the z1000 and the duc street fighter.
I then I came to my senses; too high maintenance, too much $$...
and I ride far too much to properly maintain something that was probably designed to be torn apart after every race.
wolf, there's always a monkey wrecnh thrown in some where. so much for my earlier theory.b.w.i.t.w. ha! ha! tango, you made a wise decision. only thing worse tha n high maintainance ride. is a high maintainance 'ride.'
10-4 on the high maintainance ridezzz. I too was kinda up for the Duc but it is high $$$'s. Nice to see some of us can keep our wits about us? There is a book by Baxter Black "The Cowboy and the High Maintainance Woman" true, true, true!
Kinda describes us a bit?
after buying this bike and the 1100 in upgrades, any woman would be high maitainance. only so muck peanutbutter in the jar.
OKay!! got the gig at Cycle Gear...holy crap!! The terrorists, and the illegals are winning. All the stuff you need to prove you are you! Anyway should start before the end of the month!!
On another note just bought a new Speed & Strenght textile "Twist of Fate" jacket from the Motorcycle Super Store. Listed for $192.00 got it on clearance for $49.99 . Such a baaagin! Shipped that day had it 3 days later! Noice!
been thinkin' about 2nd job myself. just thinkin'. was looking at that same jacket. almost bought it. they send me stuff on line nearly every day. been dealing with them for several months. very good company. buy my tires there.
Yep they seem ok so far to me too. Love the jacket, not sa bulky as the Joe Rocket ZX jacket I have, and is a bit more water resistant!
2nd job? More like a way to get a nice discount and make a "few" buck as well, and meet some other people too.

rotflmao! Dude, that comment about Pitt riding Jolie was CLASSIC!!! Nice!

I was just like you - torn between the Duc Hypermotard and the Z1K. Wanna know what made the decision for me? The maintenance schedule on the streetfighter. It has two cylinders, yet the cost of a valve check is twice as much as it is for a inline four...and when you factor in the fact that the inline four has four valves per cylinder as opposed to two valves, you are actually paying FOUR TIMES the amount you pay on the inline four. And, the inline four has a valve adjust interval of 15K - the Duc is 6K. Factor that in, and the maintenance cost is EIGHT TIMES that of the Z1K.

Seemed like a no-brainer to me!
