Hey... I just signed up tonight. I picked up my Z1000 Thursday night. All I did was go to pick up spark plugs, and ended up with four new plugs and a matching carrying case. ;)

I said, "if I wanted to buy that Z1000 tonight, what could you do for me?" One thing led to another, and a couple hours later, I was riding home in the rain, and my poor blue ER-6n was going, "WTF just happened?"

The weather cleared up and I put about a hundred miles on it on Friday, and got a quick 20-mile ride in yesterday afternoon, but it's been pouring buckets since last night and is supposed to continue through Tuesday. Gotta love Oregon.

But, my rain tires show up Tuesday (Michelin Pilot Road 2CT) so once they're on, I'll be in better shape.

I only started riding his past January (I'm 42)... bought the ER-6n, took the MSF class when I was in LA, and started riding. Been loving it ever since! I even bought a DR650 a month ago.

So anyway... I'm glad I found this place! The other sites I'm on don't have nearly enough Z1000 chatter. :)

Yeah Texas is a great state for year-round riding.... but I need mountains. Besides, once the snow flies, the snowmobiles come out. I don't plan to put the bike away either; I have cold-weather gear, so I'll still ride even when it's freezing out.

I have a friend in Austin who loves being able to ride year-round. He has a Suzuki B-King.
