Not new to biking, but am new to this forum. Y'all know these bikes so can help me a bunch with your recommendations. Mine is an 06 and it had no mirrors when I got it. I need to find a good mirror that will show me more than my elbows, and a source.
Thanks for any help!

Check out rhinomoto.com. They make barends with a groove cut in them to mount barend mirrors. Very easy company to deal with. I just ordered a set of crg arrow mirrors with their bar ends. Should be here by Friday.

i have some hand me down ,mirrors on my 04 right now. i do not know what brand they are. i like the looks and they do a good job of being able to see behind you.
the big problem is every time i blast threw the gears vibration rotates the mirrors out of alignment. i am looking at bar end mirrors right now. a good set is over 200 bucks. i am not a big fan of how bar end mirrors look. so i am unsure what i am going to do. i prolly will just get a quality pair of replacement mirrors that look better than stock.

Please let me know if you find some suitable ones. The guy I bought the 06 from got frustrated because his started rotating too . . . he threw them out. I wonder if LocTite might do the trick. They make a removable thread locker that might hold the mirrors steady.

Thanks for the info! I've ordered a set of the barends with the lane-splitter mirrors. Pretty pricey, but I want something I'm not going to have to replace in a few months. I also would like to see you post a pic of your setup when you get things mounted.

I had a 2006 Z1000 and replaced my mirrors with the factory mirrors off an Aprilia Tuono. They looked much sleeker, didn't vibrate at high speeds, and provided a much better view of the rear. I posted a photo of the bike in the pictures section of this forum. Take a peek and see what you think.

First ride with the CRG Arrows

Got to ride with the Rhinomotos/Arrow combo today. About 250 miles. All I can say the combo rocks. Visibility is excellent, they dress the front of the bike up and did not move all day after being set even at 135mph. I know-I know sometimes I get a little carried away.

Rou're right on all counts. I took them out of the box and thought they had send mirrors for a Benelli minibike. I put them on and absolutely love them. I've got to do just a tiny bit of fiddlin' with their aim, but I can already see they are NOT going to move. Great solution. Thanks,
Phil

Nice!! They look similarly nice on my 06. They somehow stop vibration . . . they do not blur at speed. Pretty pricey, but for what they do for the overall enjoyment of riding the bike, I would buy them again.
