I have a 2008 Z1000 that I have had for about a year now, last time i went riding it stalled out on me. I pulled over and it was hard to restart, when restarted it would barely run and ran very rich it stumbles ans stalls out. Hot or cold it dosent matter. I tryed to check everything I can think of and changed plugs fuel pressure is ok i have disconnected my pc3 to elimanate that problem, every sensor checks out but the main throttle position sensor, it has correct input voltage but output is reading 2.1v and the manual says 0.985-1.015v at idle.I feel like this is my problem but the sensor is not avaliblt seperate I would have to replace the whole throttle body assembly for 1300.00.Thats alot to spend on a hunch. If anyone has any advice on my problem or where I could get the part for cheep I would appreciate it.
Thanks, Tommy

Before you take that risk and spent all that money, take it to a mechanic or a dealership (i hate myself for saying that) so they can check it out. they shouldn't charge you more than 1 hr labor. and then if you actually have to change that part your best choices are ebay or some of those places with used mcycle parts.

sorry i cant help you, me and my brother have the 07 and 08 and I ve never heard of that problem. you can call kawasaki as weel.

I did bring to the dealer they had it for six weeks and could
Not tell me what it was, they tryed to tell me that since i had exhaust and the cables had been removed and the pully that attaches the cables to exhaist valve was gone that is causing the problem and untill it was replaced they couldent do anything but the still charged the min 2hr fee at 100 a hour. They just started dealing with Kawasaki and the mechanics said he was clueless.
