Hi all,

The husband took me shopping today, a test ride & I put a deposit down on a new 2011 Z1000 in black Get to pick her up next monday woot woot

Then its off to visit the Oxley HWY for the weekend to run her in

I have only been riding for 4 years now but Love it!!
Started on a Gs500F, moved on to a VTR1000 Firestorm, we have had great fun...nearly 70 000 k's in 3 years & had a ball ..but am ready for a step up now & the Z1000 seems like the perfect move.

I pick her up next monday....so now the fun bit starts ..bling shopping

Number 1 on my list is a pipe, pc5 & k & N ...suggestions on good O/S site to buy the system from.....have my eye on the AKRAPOVIC full system in carbon 4 into 1 ...but I am def open to suggestions

Number 2 is a bigger screen..we do a lot of riding & touring & I do feel the cold

oh & the normal stuff...fender eliminator, levers etc

Welcome. There are lots of screens to choose from, most popular is the puig screen. For the best protection search google for the california scientific screen.

Puig screen, ventura rack, heated handgrips, navman gps, tinted headlight covers rad guard, 4 to 1 Akropovic system on it way with K & N & PCV

got the muzzy full on mine, with bcm filter and PCv supoosed to get tuned this saturday. had it run stock for comparison . same dyno and operator. really wakes the bike up with the canned map. can't wait to see how tune affects it.:screwy::screwy::screwy:

got the muzzy full on mine, with bcm filter and PCv supoosed to get tuned this saturday. had it run stock for comparison . same dyno and operator. really wakes the bike up with the canned map. can't wait to see how tune affects it.:screwy::screwy::screwy:

been dying my beard gray for several years now just started highlighting the temple area with gray for that distinguised look. ha!ha! will be 55 next month. heading to jonesboro tomorrow to get bike dynotuned. if i can get hold of the guy in the morning. was supposed to call him today to confirm got busy and forgot.$ 200.00 says about 2 hrs.:screwy::screwy::screwy:

do you find that the puig windscreen helps much with deflection off the chest/face? also does it rattle or vibe at high speeds? thanks... I've been looking into getting one it's been surprisingly difficult to find good reviews, also what model is pictured there? I really appreciate it

Love the screen.....looks great IMO....no vibration or noises....good up to about 150kph (I am 5'7" tall) or thereabouts....beyond that, you know you are on a naked bike

It is the Z racing model in dark smoke tint

awesome! thanks, I'm 6'3" so I'm pretty much expecting some windblast, I think your review sold me on the windscreen, I've got a 2010 but I've switched out the silver pieces for the flat black on the 2011, really enjoying that, like the way your bike looks
