naked sport bike, street fighter, standard. what ever you call it . i think they are starting to sell here in the USA. i see a lot of them now here in SO CAL.
maybe riders are getting tired of beating their bodies up on race replica bikes. or maybe they underastand if you do not do track days, or need to be the leader of the pack you do not need a ZX10r to have fun on a motorcycle. maybe it is becouse the factorys are now making some serious sit up bikes.
what do you think ?

We have a diverse popularity of bikes 'Down Under'
I see all styles out on the road.
Although the Z1000 is a rare breed.
Gets lots of comments, all good. Even had one guy ask "what is it?"
He said his friend had a Z1000 & it didn't look anything like mine!!!

I get a lot of the "what is that" comments with the Z. I don't see many nakeds around my way but if the manufacturers keep pumping them into the U.S. market I can only see them becoming more popular. I'll be the first to admit that I thought I needed a full blown sportbike to ride aggresively through the twisties but then the Z came along and converted me. Did I mention I have a CBR 1000 listed in the for sale section? Ha Ha I can blame the Z for that.

sunday i did a glendora moutain road ride. their is a look out at the top. a 2010 Z 1000 came up and parked right next to my 2004 ZED. he did not notice it was a Z1000. the KTM duke and others like it are getting very popular with the canyon carvers. kind of hard the control a ZX10r on a 30 mph bend in the road.

Nice JR, GMR, where he was isn't that high. The big bikes rock there because of the straights, the 600's crank on the downhill, I haven't taken the Zed there yet, but plan to, it really is an amazing road, actually it's 3 roads, but GMR is the best. At night (1 to 4am) the drifters come out, I got a ride in an AE86 a few years back, fun stuff, just too late for my blood.
