Since I started riding a few years back, the 1st gen Z has been my "obtainable" dream bike. 16,500 miles on her. Picked it up in October 2015.

Exhaust was the first thing to go. Those things were insanely heavy and sounded like sewing machines. Swapped them for Delkevics, which are quite the opposite, but sound good. Very loud. I had to put the baffles back in. I am now using a 4-1 Muzzy full titanium system. Not as nice sounding at idle, but it screams at WOT.

Levers were swapped for cheap amazon ones. I'm not a fan, but they work better than stock. I also installed bar end mirrors. Ordered a Fender elim and put on some LED turn signals. They are not very bright during the day so I may go back to standard bulbs or a more quality set up.

Made the switch to a full Muzzy Titanium 4-1. Installed my power commander and am running an akrapovic 4-1 map. Totally changed the bike. Its much smoother and doesn't lug at all. Front end comes up a little easier too. I can be in 6th gear/30mph and go WOT and it is still smooth. The PC was meant for a 1st gen Z750 which was $150. All you have to do is install a 1000 map onto it.

Last thing to do is upgrade the blinkers again to something brighter. Might put a new exhaust can on too.
