I have an 03 Z and I was wondering how many miles (approx) can I expect to get after the fuel light starts blinking. :dontknow: I usually get between 130 and 140 miles to a tank.

only a guess, 30-40 miles. it starts flashing with 2 gal of gas left. you never get to use it all. using 4 gal would be nice. that would be 160 miles on my 04. i think i got 150 one time.

I got 152, pushing the blinky light limit to see how far I could go... still had gas left, but not a whole lot.

I put over 4 gallons in my Ninja last weekend and the light had yet to come on. If the tank is only 5 gallons that means I probably have less than 30 miles before I'm walking.

The tripmeter is your friend...

I never go by the gas guage, all ways set my trip to 0 every time I fill up.

I too set trip a and around 90 it starts flashing.
I ride till around 120,fill up and it usually takes 3.4 to 3.6 to fill up.
Thats if i baby it and ride sanely.

On a full tank of gas I get an average of 160 miles. thats 4.9 gallons of gas. when light flashes I can go another 30 miles or so

got 44 MPG on my last fill up on the 2004 ZED. full muzzy ,no PC. before the pipe i was getting 45-50 mpg. i guess it runs a little richer without the stock exhaust. just a little millage drop. i do not ride hard. i could do the MOBILE economy run.

Wow, 42 is the most I have EVER gotten on my '03..... ...that was with absolutely no fun whatsoever. I wanna know what you are doin!

i got 32 on last check,must have had the wind behind me goin down hill most of the time.

took a sunday ride with my uncle 45-60 mph. 265 miles 43 mph. maybe 3 wheelies all day. normal riding about 38. "barry" riding about 32. rear tire can't take much spins too easy. still trying to decide which tires to run. have gone 25 miles after flashing gas 3.6 gal. total. could probably ease 35 out of it if i had too. hope i never have to find out.:screwy::screwy::screwy: oh yeah, milage is way better since dyno tune.

i guess i am not having as much fun as you are:dontknow:. most of my rides i never see red line or full throttle. a nice freeway on ramp threw a couple of gears is all i need . knowing the power is their is all i need most of the time. at 64 i am just glad i can ride a sport bike at all. i do like to race my victory 8 ball at out local drag strip though. still pretty good at it i think:lol::headshake::screwy:

Well, I'm not sure exactly how many miles I got after my low fuel light started flashing. 1/2 way to work, back home, to the post office, etc.

I do however know for sure it was .5 miles LESS than the distance to the next gas station. :lol:

If anyone is interested, an N1K tank filled to just above the bottom of the filler neck baffle holds 5.275 gallons from DRY. Dry as in YOU'RE WALKING.

I ran it dry purely in the interest of science. Honest. :thumbsup:
