The new issue of MC Hp and Torque rating WTF. They are saying the 2010 z1000 has 127hp and 76ft. The 2011 ninja 1000 has 130hp and 110ft. They are the same bikes.

the torque must be a typo on the ninja. that much torque is not possible.

The ninja is geared different & that might be at the crank?

Yeah, its the same motor in both bikes.

i think the ninja is geared taller.

The 127 number is typically what the Z1000 has been getting on the dyno. The "engine" rating I've seen is like 138 hp or something like that.

Also don't forget the Ninja 1000 weighs like 20-25 lbs more.
