I haven't been in a showroom in a few years so I don't remember how far over the Z1000 leans over when new.

My bike is a newly acquired 2004, and it seems to be leaning over quite a bit. I did not think to ask the previous owner if it was supposed to be that leaned over. it looks like it's almost at a 45 degree angle. see pic below.

Usually I've seen sportbikes, and they're almost standing straight up when on the sidestand. My old bike Honda VLX had a good lean, but not like this. It feels like I'm about to set the bike down on the ground.

So, is this normal or did I get a bike with a bent kickstand?

Thats just a low parker bro go wit it!......Now seriously check the kickstand mount make surevits tight but not too tight for the stand to move freely. If that dosent give you a rise drop 2 viagra in the gas tank!....Kidding,No dont do that some people like to sit on there bikes on the stand an it bends them.Or they use them to pivot othe bike.Either way if tighting the mount doesnt help youd just gonna have to bend it back back down.Get a friend whos got a big pipe shove it up in there let him hold the bike strongly as you apply pressure downward and gently on his big pipe till you achive the angle of dqngle your looking for from his big pipe! I learned this move on sienfelds show!...good luck

My '07 leans pretty good too. Nothing to worry about until you park on uneven ground. I've pulled mine off and found no abnormal wear.

Thanks for the responses. I checked the stand bracket and it looked normal. the kick stand does have a slight curve/bend to it. maybe that's what's wrong. It causes that little foot on the end to point up instead of being even with the ground.

Bike's only got 2200 miles, so maybe the previous owner spent time sitting on it and not actually riding LoL
