Hey guys and girls!

I haven't been much active for the last months but I'll try working on that!

First of, I have som bad news (for me atleast). A couple of weeks ago I crashed my beloved -09 Zed :( Not to bad though, just fell over in a corner due to a string of loose sand in the middle of the road, let's just say that my back tire didn't have a chance to contain the grip...

Any how... The bike is currently at the workshop and have just been granted the necessary repairs by the insurance company to get it back in shape. But now to my first dilemma; The kawasaki dealer which owns the workshop has a brand new -10 black/silver standing in the shop and he has given me a really good price on it if I take that one instead of my old one.

So my first question is: Should I go for the -10 instead of my -09?
I mean, I like the looks of the -10 more then the -09 and I think they are just as nice to drive. But is it worth it?

If I get the -10, a fender eliminator kit is obvious and I also would like a slipon system for the looks and sound. Here I have my eyes on a couple of different models of the type that I like.

So my second question(s) is: Which of these looks coolest? Which has the nicest sound? Which brand would you recommend?

MIVV Double Gun:

Sound:

IXIL Hyperlow:

Sound:

IXIL IXRace:

Sound: Can't find any sound :(

Vince & Hines Urban Brawler:

Sound:

All thoughts are appreciated :D

Well, it looks like you've decided on the '10 Z. As for exhaust, I like them all compared to stock.

I have the Brawlers and love them but if i had to pick another i would deffinatly go with the Ixil hyper flow. Besides baffles are included. I myself get compliments on the brawler almost everyday as i park very close to the front door at the resturant i work in,loads of new people see it all day long. In the end i say go with what you like. You have to look at and listen to them everytime you ride so get the ones you want Bud. Good luck and lets see some pics of what you do choose...... Peace

Hehe, it's that obvious is it? ;) You're right, I'm pretty shure I'll go with the '10 :)

If you can get a good enough deal go for the 10z.
I'll have to pay about 19.000 SEK (Swedish crowns) or something like $2.970 in between. I think that's a pretty good deal :)

Nice! I had a look at your album, looks really sweet! Aesthetically I like the Urban Brawlers or the IXIL IXRace the best, but I haven't found any good sound exemples of them. I basically want the most aggressive sound, if I had to try putting it in words.

How is the sound from your Urban Brawlers? I meen, do you get alot of people turning their heads when you drive by?

Hi again guys!

I found this video with the MIVV Double Gun slipons and I have to say that I'm hooked!

Even though this is on a '09 i think the sound will be at least simular on a '10 wont it?

It may not be as good looking as the Urban Brawler or the IXIL slipons, but it sure sounds cooler!

So right now it's between the Urban Brawler or the Double Gun :)

What you all think?

Here's the Brawler on a '10 for comparison

I'M DOING IT I'M DOING IT I'M DOING IT ;)

I have MIVV GP Style on my 07....very throaty sound....everyone around my area runs Yoshimura on their bikes......after my wreck last summer I went with the MIVV and I'm very pleased with the sound
Nice! I've looked at the MIVV slipons for a while actually. First when I was about to get my '09 I looked at the MIVV Suono. But then I ended up bying a bike with a Akrapovic 4-2-1 already mounted so... So now when I looked at getting a '10 i looked att MIVV yet again and saw the MIVV Double Gun :) Sounds amazing and looks cool I think :)

The brawlers when first installed were very annoying after riding with the factory set for a while. But with time and a buttload of compliments i love em now.
I don't mind the noice! I drove my '09 w/ Akrapovic 4-2-1 w/o dbkiller :) Right now I'm more towards the MIVV Double Gun because I like the sound better, It's more aggressive! :D

And i will upload images and maybe even a video of the bike when I get it!

:Dhad 32 miles on the stock 2011 green, put on a set of brawlers sound great and look great. they are too loud if your too old. stock muffs for sale.:p
I'm only 22 years old so.. ;) I will drive without the dbkiller for shure! But right now I'm, as i've sad, more in towards the MIVV Double Gun because I like that sound better :)

Under $3 for a new bike! You'd be crazy not to do it!!! Of course, insurance will be a little more...and maintenance that you have to consider (600 miles service, 3000 miles service). But as long as you can deal with those, GO FOR IT!

Sound is SOOOO subjective. What I like, you may not.

That said, I have one concern with both of the first two sets you like. They are pointed straight up in the air! What happens if/when you get stuck out in the rain? They fill full of rain water? Just something to consider - especially in Sweden.

Otherwise, YOU ARE STOKED! That was probably the best wreck you ever had, eh??

Yep, I made the deal last night. I'll hopefully get the bike at the end of this week or in the beginning of next week :D

Yeah, I know. But I want some input from other people, maybe they know of a slip-on that I don't. I don't want to miss anything just because I didn't ask :)

Sweden isn't as rainy as you might think and when it do rain, I'll usually not out driving so.

But now have a new dilemma; the slip-ons I've looked at in this thread are not legal in Sweden as it turnes out, so I have to reconsider what slip-on to get. I'm blank... It's like starting over from scratch :(

After looking around at legal slip-ons for my new '10, I haven't found anything nice at all. So I had a look at the Swedish law regarding non-approved silencers. Apparently you only have to have it replaced and inspected and may get a ticket for about $160. Then you can switch back again if you have the balls ;)

So I'm pretty sure I will go for the Urban Brawler anyway, 'cause the swedish police isn't that hard on checking the dB on vehicles, at least not if you don't drive like a complete jackass. And if I do get a ticket and have to do an inspection, it will cost be about $200.

Then the Urban Brawler is about $630 cheaper than the cheapest approved slip-on, so I can get 3 tickets before I'm back for getting the Urban Brawlers.

But I'm just curious, whats the dB level from the Urban Brawler. Does anybody know? The only thing I can find is that the "Sound insert" reduces the level by 3-5 dB. But whats the level to start with?
