I had seen a post earlier asking if anyone had mounted HID lights on their Z. I got some and installed them yesterday. They look incredible on the bike and are like a flamethrower at night. I'm especially pleased that you get a choice of color temperatures. Mine look exactly like what I had hoped. They come complete with transformers and ballasts as well as the H7 bulbs. They're already all wired up and they're a true plug-n-play proposition. $100 bucks delivered, but WOW. I'll get some pics posted this week.
Regards all,
Phil

Thumpertalk carries a set of Denali lights -- 10W super-high-intensity LED... $300 for the kit, complete. A lot of the dualsport guys use them and LOVE them. I want a set for my DR650, but I haven't figured out where I would mount a set on the Z.

Rob, a buddy of mine with much better eyesight and mechanical know-how actually installed them for me. It was a simple plug-n-play operation. The only challenge was, as you say, where to mount the hardware. Mine is an 06 but I imagine there isn't a whole lot of difference . . . he mounted everything behind the windscreen "fairing". He had to pull the light cover / windscreen to get room, but it is an awesome installation with nothing visible.
