Hi there.
New to the forum & the world of Naked bikes, Come from a long line of criusers & sports bikes!
My last bike (V Star) got totaled by an inexperienced cager & looking around for a new bike I saw the new Z1000.
Love at first sight!
Hadn't even considered a naked until then.
Went down to my local dealer to order a white one & the only one in stock is the demo! They call the state Kawasaki distributor & I'm now told the white is discontinued in Australia!!
Next shipment will still have the black or the new colour is green!
Might have to chase around some interstate dealers for a white one as I don't want to wait!!!

Tell you what - buy the green one, then trade me for the white one!!!!

I got the last white one in Northern California. And they dont sell them in green in the USA! But I really wanted the Kawi green color...

Deal?? LOL!

Welcome to the site!

Thats just it, I can get as many black ones as I like !!!
4 dealers closeby have them in stock!
Been looking on flea bay for pics of eliminators & I'm certainly not paying up to $120 AU for one.
Just a piece of bent alloy plate, too easy. Might even make one that's boxed in where the wires & bolts go as we have a TIG welder at work!
I do like this one. It uses the original turn signals & rego plate light.
Thanks for the offer though.

Yeah I think thats the EvoTech one, goes for like $120.00 plus postage.

This is mine:

Cost me about 4 hours labour, $12.98 for the 3mm Alli bar and $18.00 for the number plate light. If I had power tools, instead of having to hand saw and file everything, I could of had it made in an hour.

Can I ask you guys a question??

Whats the tube under the license plate holding with the "9" on it?? Your registration stickers??

Never seen that before. Here in the states, they make us stick little rectangular stickers onto the plates themselves - cant carry them separate...

Just curious....

Got it in one!! Some have it a tube (fairly new style) or in a flat holder. Wish we had little stickers, would be so much neater!

Got my new ride home this morning from the dealer. WooHoo!!!!

Good deal!! I have the black & silver, she was the only in stock. Have had Kawi Cruisers H-D's and the lot. The Z is definitely where the fun is. Full out sport bike is next on the list!
WELCOME!
My other half has family in Engleburg NSW. May just come visit one day!!??
hi i just joined this forum today..
been drooling over the z for a couple of months and then sold my K5 gsxr1000 to get one, strangely enough there is no 2010 models available in victoria and kwaka dealers could not provide a difinitive delivery date for the 2011 models, which are due here 'soon'... ultimately my impatience got the better of me and a national search produced a black one in nsw which i quickly secured and wil arrive at my door next wednesday (25/08/2010)... very exciting!!!
i am keen to remove that ugly rear fender and have viewed your engineering prowess with great interest although i would like slightly smaller and trickier rear indicators to replace the not so pretty oem ones
having a slightly bulging waistline i am also keen to get a carbon fibre tankpad but GCF have not yet got a mould for the 2010 model, however they will happily make me one as soon as they can... looking forward to my first ride with great anticipation after all that i have read about this wonderful machine....

Good luck and welcome to the fray!
