Hi everyone, just bought a 2003 Z1000 yesterday and already have 100miles on it, great deal service records, oil change records, 11696miles, no dings dents scratches and has a powercommander 3 and gutted exhausts no cats bar and end mirrors. It runs amazing and is super comfy. I sold my Harley Nighttrain to my friend and wanted to return to a sport bike but didnt want a uncomfortable ride or insane insurance. This bike fits the bill on everything. Looks bad *** goes great rides nice and sounds amazing. I'm glad to see lots of other people on here feel the same way. Nice to meet everyone.

Welcome to the site!:)

Sounds like the Z fits just the bill that you were looking for in terms of having sport bike power while still offering a comfortable ride at the same time which is really what the Z1k is all about.

You are right about insurance too as most companies it seems tend to classify the Z as a touring bike which of course is much less than what a sport bike would cost to insure.

Anyway, looking forward to seeing your bike and congrats again!

P.S., we have just about the same exact mileage at this time as well, just within a few miles or two. Literally!

i still have a victory 8 ball. it is a fast cruiser, but i picked up my 2004 Z 1000 last year and put 7,000 miles on it. the 8 ball got 1,000 miles in that same year. even at 64 the kawa is more fun . my friend had a night train, kind of a hoot to ride. he traded it for a benelli 1130 TNT. a way cool bike.

Hi everyone thanks for the responses

Hey everyone, thanks again for the responses this bike is awesome I've been riding the hell outta it for the last 4days and enjoying every minute of it! I attached a pic of my bike lets see if it goes through. I'm looking at getting some anodized parts to dress it up a bit, some smaller brake and clutch levers and a K&N filter to top it all off. I love this bike to no end! It is everything that I've wanted in a bike, fun, comfortable, stylish, reliable and fast enough to stick it to 911's and base some vettes :). I love cars but until my back gets so bad I can't walk I will always own a bike.
