Hello,

My name is Matt and I'm from Auburn,AL. War Eagle. I am full time student at Auburn University.

I dont have a bike right now but am looking for a Z1000. I have found a few but am trying to get a loan.

My last bike was a 2005 r6. Loved it and it was stolen on my birthday this past year.

Thanks and awesome site,

Matt C.

Awesome, thanks. I have been kinda nervous about the 03-06 because I hear a lot about vibration and a dead spot at low rpm. How hard and how expensive is it to fix the vibration and flat spot? I have found several 03-06 models for good prices but this will my main mode of transportation in the spring summer and fall so I want to be comfortable and of course have good power down low since most of my driving will be in town.

Thanks a lot,

Matt C.

Most of the vibration can be eliminated with a set of thick aluminum bars like Renthal or Rizoma...I know that pulling the Secondaries (second set of throttle plates)will really liven it up...no throttle lag afterwords....grin factor goes up lol

I know most of the vibration is felt in the bars....so start with a set of Renthal or Rizoma thick aluminum ones.....You can pull the Secondaries (Second set of throttle plates) to eliminate throttle lag.....instant rush....grin factor High !! You can also go up a couple of teeth on the rear sprocket to give it that added punch on take off with loads of low end torque!!

Well, I wasnt approved for the loan I was applying for. The bank didnt like that I only had 3 years of credit. So, a bike is out of reach for me. Thanks for all your support and help with my questions.

I suppose the reason I was hitting it so hard is that my dad and I went on a 1000 mile weekend ride last May and I would like to make it again. Hopefully something dirt cheap will come along.

Thanks again

Matt
