2003 z1k, twice i have been on rides and the engine will pulse/stumble very quickly. It will cut power on and off so fast that the front end dives (kind of scary on the free way at 80mph) shortly after the bike will die. if i stop and cut the key switch off then on some times it will start up and run for a couple mile then the same thing. once i get home and let it sit overnite its fine then randomly starts doing it again. the fuel pump is new, everything else is OEM..........Whats going on???????????????????????????????????????????????

when i bought the bike the previous owner had dropped it.........did a ****ty dent repair and two weeks later the tank started leaking, i got a new tank and replaced the pump at the same time. this problem started after, i have checked the connections and am in the process of checking the individual components. so far everything is fine according to service manual specs. the only consistent thing is this......i had low fuel, ran with the fuel blinking for 10 or 15 miles, i stopped and got gas then about 20 or so miles later it started with the cutting out then the stopping
the first time it happened thats what i did, i have only been getting premium from name brand stations since. i have run injector cleaner thru it twice. i did also notice that when its happens the weird self check noise doesnt happen, i can hear the fuel pump starting but not the strange eeehhhhhh ehh ehhh uhhhhh ehhh ehh hope that makes since

thats your stator buddy, open that up and make sure those wires arnt messed up, if not you need a new stator
