I have a 05 z, and I did the airbox mod, cut out the trumpet for more airflow and installed K N filter. I also just put a zx9 stock header on my bike. Allready had muzzy slip ons. Will I be too lean now? Will I need to remap with a power commander or fuel injection box?????

I dont want to blow up my bike, burn a hole thru the pistons.

Have to order straight pipe piece from muzzy for new mid pipe, exhaust is too close, my heel now rests on it. this will be an eazy fix. Just curious about if I need to remap to avoid burning hole in pistons????

Its not a two stroke the only thing that will happen is it will have flat spots, until you get pc & maped

With all that combined together and no PC, yes it will definitely be lean and run hotter. Enough to melt the motor? Probably not, but again, it's definitely going to be lean and run hotter than it did stock until you remap it.

Power Commanders work great and with all your mods it would improve your performance. Then try a few of the maps at DynoJet until you get the one that makes you smile. It ain't no biggie to change out the maps.

I ran mine with the airbox mod and a full Muzzy pipe for years and it worked great.I now run this with a K&N filter and a PCIII and that works even better .

Can i just install a fuel injection box??? instead of pc?

Yeah, like everyone said. Your bike is fuel injected thus wont hurt the motor. All is good

i have slip on too (yoshimura trs) but now i bough a pc3 were wondering wich headers pipe would fit with my slip-on .. i see here zx9 one will fit but do theyre size is larger then z1000 original headers ? Or there another header i could fit on my bike to keep slipon and get some +hp ?
