Hi everyone. I did a demo ride on a 2007 Z1000 a couple of years ago, and have loved Z1000s ever since. And the 2010 models must be even better. My present motorcycle is a 1982 Kawasaki KZ650, which I have had for 3 years and ridden 18,000 miles. Did a marathon trip to California and did the PCH1 from Malibu to Napa Valley a couple of weeks ago. 4,367 miles in 9 days. The KZ650 is no cruising bike, but is surprisingly comfortable. The bike did great, and we had a wonderful experience.

I aspire to own a Z1000 one of these days. Thought I can educate myself on this site. Any input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hey Bill!

Wish I knew you were coming thru Napa - I would have joined you! Napa is my stomping grounds!!

Believe me, this 2010 model is WORLDS better than the first generation model. I never rode the second generation, but I owned the 2003 and put 30K on one of them, and loved it - loved it so much that when I saw this new one, I HAD TO get it. Glad I did too... Al new engine and frame, better brakes and suspension, less vibrations than the last models. I cant stop talking about it or riding it!

Next time youre in Northern Cali, hit me up!
Thanks for the welcome. We were in San Fran and Napa on Wednesday, May 5th and Thursday, 6th. The PCH1 is incredible. You have so many great riding areas. I really like California.

I wouldnt live anywhere else!! This is the only place in the world where you can go surfing and snowboarding in the same day! Napa has some of the BEST roads Ive ever traveled on...thanks to the wine tourism industry. Sometimes you have to watch out for drunks, but otherwise the roads are great!

Seriously - hit me up next time youre in town!
Welcome to the site! Tell your friends! lol
