This accesory would have to be a must for all Z1 riders.
I have experienced many times looking for the 7th gear, and it proved
a bit worrisome. I fitted this device and now I know exactly the gear im in.
This really helps when you a doing the tight corners as selecting the correct
gear makes it a silky smoooth...

It takes 1 second for each new gear to show, its also easy to install
as it plugs directly into the command module .

I rode for 120 miles today and think I only looked for 7th gear twice. Some days it gets even worse then that with a +3 rear sprocket on. These have always been on my Christmas list right after another set of tires, chain, sprockets, it just seems to go on and on if you like to ride them. Miles of Smiles.

Just curious - why is looking for a 7th gear "a bit worrisome"?? I do it occassionally on the freeway, but its not a big deal....Just pull in the clutch, try to upshift and find I cant, so I dump the clutch back in 6th.

As for tight twisties....I dont care to know what gear Im in - I can tell if I am in the right gear by the rpm's showing and how the bike feels....

All Im saying is that this is not something I would spend my money on!

I find looking for the never present seventh gear a humbling experience.... letting me know i should really be more 'in tune' to what I am doing.

Lol, not humbling but nice to know you're not the only one out there. I agree, in the twisties it's all about sounds and rpm's. The cost is why it is low on the Christmas list for me. Plus, when bikes had 3 gears I was looking for 4th and when they had 4 I was looking for 5th. I don't think I can be helped.

Personally speaking, if you are moding your bike, do yourself a favour and get this
device, it compliments the Z1 extremely well and it will save your gearbox.

Peace brothers...:)

Ive got the yellow which actually is almost an exact match to thr factory instruments.I love it and another benefit is in bright light you can see the large 0 much easier than the neutral light just another nice safety thing.
