Unbelieveable that a fire-breather like the Z would have such a Mickey Mouse horn. If anybody has mounted a horn with some stones, please advice what kind and where you got it.
Thanks.

I've always wanted to mount a train horn on a bike. My buddy has one on his 68 caddy and its deafening. Only about the size of a big can of monster energy too, and runs off the battery.

That'd keep the cagers awake.:D

I would hate to put air horns on the bike. I find myself honking the horn when I try to start the bike because I'm used to my race quad with the starter button on the left side...

After about the fifth time of getting pushed up towards the sidewalk by some idiot texting in traffic, air horns sound like a great idea.
In cases like that I've always just used the exhaust. I forget I even have horns on my vehicles because I have never used them other than goofing off.

A bunch of us have added these , from ebay. They are better than stock, a lot better, and the cost is cheap. They mount just like the stock horn, so thats an advantage. I'd like to say its high quality..but..13 bucks...lol OK, maybe it is..if its 13.00, our stock horns cost 1.25.

Anyway, call it a pretty good solution without going to air powered.

Added the PIAA 500 mhz horn, its a twin kit, but only the 500 so far, fits in stock location & zero mod to wire harness. Just plug in. MUCH louder & I honk at everybody that gets way + friendly beep beep for everyone that pulls over for us to ride on by when out & about.

Would like to mount the other one on other side of bike eventually.

Black blends. Don't notice the larger size anymore.

I purchased a Screaming Banshee Shockwave horn;

www.screaming-banshee.com

THIS WILL SAVE YOUR LIFE & MORE IMPORTANTLY, GIVE YOU COMPLETE CONFIDENCE SHARING THE ROAD.

But you dont need it to save your Life.

Think about every damage expense, every painful injury & downtime that happens when you hit or are hit by other vehicles and go down - this horn CARVES UP TRAFFIC UNLIKE REVVING YOUR ENGINE which generally affects the people behind you & over time, pisses other drivers off who are looking to vent their traffic frustration & anger on you sailing by all the time.

1. This is the loudest horn on the Market

2. It has two stages a. Light press = Friendly but if you hold it for .15 seconds it's like a 18 wheeler crashing onto their ***

3. It has a function that connects to headlights & when you depress the horn it causes your headlights to flash

4. I didn't get the add on high quality, 6 inch high intensity LED light that can also flash on when the horn is pressed

I have been riding for 50 years, even though I will be running an IXIL SX1 without baffles, revving the bike takes time away from handling the bike, it irritates other drivers & more importantly, the noise is generally wasted on behind us.
