Hello to all.

Just bought my 2010 Z1000 two weeks ago and loving it. Summer didn't start out so great here, but it's been great since I picked up my bike (no rain and decent temps!). :)

Looking forward to a lot more riding and following the forum.

i'd say welcome, but i'm new here too. aw! welcome any way. how's pricing up your way? got mine for 8900 out the door last saturday. just did first service last night. wix filter and castrol 10w40 m/c oil. last bike was zrx 1200r hated oil changes on that what a change(pun intended) this one was a walk in the park compared to my last one. even after 45,000 miles logged up on rexes always dreaded oil changes. any issues yet? mine had recall done before i got it. had to sign saying i understood this. have off idle stumble when easing on throttle, i know how do you ease on throttle? ha!ha! but have been testing all areas to get used to new bike, haven't took it over 8,000 yet maybe tonight.really pulls hard at 7 in first and second, (saves on front tire wear.)have too be careful with throttle at 5to6 or back tire wants to break loose. may be too much air in it. thoght the rex was hot(it is ) but this way past that. gotta love it. rick:D

Sorry for the delay in responding. Sounds like you got a better deal than I did--although for the Seattle area, I think I did alright. Mine was 9500 plus tax and title. No issues so far (although I'm still breaking it in as recommended in the manual). Previous bike, which I still own, is a Honda TransAlp (V-2, 600cc) bought new in 1990. To say the Z1000 has way, way more power than my Honda only covers part of the difference--but I love the K's motor! Granted they are completely different rides, I'm learning to really love the Z's power and handling. And I'm not anywhere near pushing it yet.
hard to keep that right hand under control. got 1400miles on mine now . i hope i don't get in trouble. already trying to figure out a way to get full system, pcv, and k&n. haven't found filter yet. rick:D:D:D
addiction might not be a strong enough word, come to think of it maybe there is no word. i'm ready to plunk down nearly 1000 for a full muzzy and pcv for my 2010 z1000 with 1400 miles, when my other ride is 91 accord staion wagon that needs an axle.oh well! they're coming to take me away ha ha, they're coming to take away hee hee, and i'll be happyn to see those nice young men in their claen white coats.........
if i buy that exhaust and pcv tomorrow, they'll come and get me for sure.

Id say F U C K. thats cheap... converted to dollars i payed $18000 for mine in sweden(including akrapovic carbon fibre slipons)
at last america wins. glad you could afford it. i thought you might type with an accent.(hope you swedes have a sense of humor. they say mine is dry.) how is the riding over there. any curves? can you get good gas? are power wheelies against the law? so many questions so little time. oh yeah my paternal ancestors were dutch, maybe we're kin.
