Hey Guys and Gals

Im 47 years old and have a 2011 Z1, with 5,400Km's on the clock.
Fantastic bike this, absolutely carves the corners with precision
like a scalpel.
I traded a CB1000 for the Z.
Its amazing how much power this bike puts out and hardly any vibration.
I really dont have anything bad to say about it..
I think the only down side is the 15 litre tank, pity its not 17 or 19 ltrs.
I use my bike daily for commuting im only 1/2 an hour from my work.
It's winter now here in Oz, so im yearning for warmer weather.
Im eager to buy the Akrapovic slip on's from the US in the next few months. Hope to do afew more posts ....

Thanks and enjoy my photos..:eek:ccasion:

Welcome from another fellow Aussie.

Thank you for the Welcome..
Im from Canberra....
So you have the full Akra, and no doubt the PCV as well.....
I dont think I will go the full system, with PCV, I think the bike would use
too much fuel, and I think its powerful enough for me.
I will buy the Akra Slip ons, here in Oz they are $1600, Akrapovic 2010-2011 Kawasaki Z1000 Dual Hexagonal Slip-On Exhaust US price is way better... Anyhow whats your'e experience with the bike..Is the Akra what you hoped it would be... Nice talking to you, and yes nice Avatar..

Yep my girl has the Full Arka, PC5, O2 module, K&N ...dyno..the bike stock 130 bhp...with those mods 141 bph...& suprisingly the fuel useage is around the same 220 k's to a tank if you are playing :) Money well spent the bike sounds so much nicer now :)
I brought my system from US $1089 delivered to my door .. & it arrived in a week ..you would be crazy to buy here in Oz...& if you dont buy a system you still have that ugly Cat box left in sight

They are awesome fun bike to ride ...I was tossing up between this & the Cb ..but the lack of HP & torque on the Honda was very disappointing.
I have 5500 klm on my girl now...& spend most weekends out & about somewhere :)

Ps ty yep thats me on Hubbies race bike

Hey Natty

Absolutely smokin HOT looking Z1, the Akra compliments the bike so well.
Far out this puts out some serious power, judging by the rear tyre you
like to lean, hardly any chicky strips

Anyhow Im interested in buying the Ventura rack, I have a similar
tail tidy as yourself, also using the original blinkers.
I just need to know does the Ventura rack have any bolts or nuts
connecting directly under the seat.
Reason is all of my wiring for the tail light and blinkers have taken all that space up. Or is the rack joined just from one end to the other with a long bolt, this would suit me. If you could ask your hubby to check this out
and possably do a reply as i need to be certain before I do my purchase.
The distributor in Oz is Kenma.

Anyhow thanks very much for your patience, im very impressed with your bike and it shows you have given it lots of TLC

All the best ..

I hope these photos explain more what I was trying to say...
If the ventura rack has a bolt directly from one side to the other fine.
If not and it bolts under the seat where my wiring is than its gonna be fiddly...

^^ yes exactly that...the tail tidy with stock indicators & ventura rack work great together ...bolts come with the rack & go straight through the existing holes in the fender ...an easy mod...any girl can do it herself lol ;) (hubby only required for the muscle on bolts too tight for me )

Ty for the compliments on my Zed :) Just waiting on my Pazzo's to be delivered & The coffin shaped front brake resi has to go too & then Im done with the mods :)

Hey Hoffy...are you the same Hoffy Hubby (hondatwo) & I meet for that OPH run a few weeks ago ??
