Fuel Light Problems

When I first got my '07 Z1000 when I filled the tank to the top my fuel light would flash for a couple miles. It stopped doing it for 6 months for some reason, then one day it started again. Except now it flashes for 40-50 miles or so and then stops.

The gauge indicates full when I fill up and the low level flashing works when I have .9 gallons left. But at fill up time it just likes to flash for several miles and then stop. 99.99% of the time I never ride to the low level before adding gas. When I do fill up, even at a half tank it starts flashing? Does anybody's flash when you fill it too full?

i did it to me too a couple of times. I just clear the trip everytime i pump gas. every 120 miles or so. maybe the sensor is going bad in your gas tank.

Mine has done it since it was new.Changed the sending unit and gauge cluster...actually changed everything and it still does it. Kawasaki tech's never could figure it out!

Mine does it every fuel up. I do a couple side to side sloshes while riding it usually stops flashing.
