Condensation in the Head Lamp Assy.

2072 Views 7 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  AirWolf
I just bought my 07 Z1000 and noticed last night that the lens had condensation build up on the left side.

Has anyone else had this problem and is there a fix ?

I know in cars that we just drill a few small holes in the bottom of the head lamp....but I don't want to do that if at all possible.

Hope this helps

I had the same problem with my mustang H-lamps.
Pull the lights dry them out really well and apply some clear rtv, silocone, or the like sparingly around all the seams of the projector a.k.a bulb housing and viola your problem should be solved..worked for me!
Hope this helps....sometimes the simplest fixes are a little time consuming but doesnt it feel great to do it your yourself!
PEACE...Barry
Thanks for the info Dude!
I know exactly what you mean about doing it yourself....I'd rather do my own work .
At least that way I know it's done right!

DIY works if you have the time, I will do work my self as long as it does not effect stop and go. Thanks for the tip Barry!
I had some after I changed my bulbs, but after riding a couple of times it cleared up. I wouldn't worry about it too much.
Haven't had anymore problems with it since that first time ....probably had something to do with it being so humid that day then cooling off that night.....Thanks for all the info guys
Good to hear! Ride on!
I have a 2010 and in the book it even states that some condesation may occur especially after riding in the rain? Maybe just the humidity like you said? Hope thats all it is.
Shiney side up!
