went for a short lap this evening with son(09zx10r) and grandson(250 ninja) i rode out front as blocker wit grandson in the middle. got drker sooner than expected. keep forgetting z time is different, anyway about halfway through ride i spot a deer a nd point it out. they saw her and slow down. i didn;t see the other deer that ran in front of my grandson. scared my son worse than him. thye pulled over in a curve as soon as noticed they weren't right behind me i turned around. yhey were talking about what had happened. grandson was o.k. his ndad was shook up.he watched it all and couldn't do anything. was my fault i asked them to ride a half hour too late. won't do that again. rick:D:D:D

you're right. he's been riding dirt bikes and four wheelers since he was three, same with his dad. trying to convince them to use the front brake more. it's hard to unlearn some things.

Glad to hear everyone is ok.... Could have been a LOT worse...

That is hilarious (the brake comment, not the deer) I got my first dirtbike when I was 4, and I think the first time I ever even touched the front brake was when I bought my Z...... Amazing what a difference it makes... Now when I ride dirt, I find myself using it more there too.... My Dad thought it was easier to just tell me NEVER to use the front brake when I was learning to ride, rather than teaching me HOW to use it.....
