Well most of you are familiar with Captain Z. She is getting a late winter make over. Here are some of the things I am doing
- Full 636 front end swap w/ radial brake setup
-Shorty black Levers
- 4to1 header
-Race Tail
-And looking for someone that can redo a seat.........
-636 rear shock

Will take pics as I get parts in and time to work on it
Here is the Race Tail That I am going to use
Kawasaki ZX6R 636 Ninja - Race Tail Fairing [New] - eBay (item 300469720844 end time Feb-16-11 07:29:04 PST)

I got the 636 front end in yesterday and a little down time in the shop meant that I can play with mine. lol
Thanks to Brandon (usmc82503 off of Welcome to East Tennessee Bikers!!! - Home ) we got most of it swapped out.
Now I need to buy a new front fender. Mine carbon one wont work! dang it

Will update as I get more in. And other parts I find That I have to have. lol

I know a guy that does custom seats for under $100. He just takes your old seat, replaces or adds foam and will re cover it however you want with whatever you want. Did you say your fender was carbon and it won't work?

That race tail is sweet! Looking forward to hearing and seeing more about your exhaust system.

Anyway, the future 636 front fender will look great. I'd paint the center white and leave the side panels black; would be sharp and go with the flow of your bike.

Z1000rider, I thought about that but see I am a retard and didn't pay attention to what I was bidding on. I found this one finder on ebay for $14 so I bid on it and to my suprise no one else bid on it after a couple of days. So I showed it to the wife. Look at the fender I am about to win!! Then noticed that it was cracked real bad across the top!! Oh well. I will just cover it in Carbon.

And no more riding on the back for the wife. :) Now I need to find rear sets

Here's a few shots of the Mock up of the tail. I am trying to decide if I want to cut out for the factory placement of the tail light or maybe do something a bit different? Which ever I do turns are not going back on it. I am going to do an intergraded rear light. And I am going to make a custom plate bracket and put it on the battery box. My objective is to have as clean as possible for the tail.

I thought about doing that myself. I was going to have two dual color round lights that doubles as turns. Just cut out the proper size hole and put in a piece of pvc pipe to mount the light in so you can countersink it,cutting the pvc to the proper angle of course. You can get dual color round LED lights all over the place.

I imagined it would look like the jet engines on an F-14 or something.

looking at the tail i would run led strips "vertically? with the outside 2 being yellow for turn signals.... when you look at the *** it would be striped and flow pretty neat.

just draw lines on the tail and dremel them out carefully

Just my $.02

Okay, I haven't kept up with the build thread too much but here is what I got done
-Rear race tail painted
-LED turns down on the end of the swing arm
-LED tail lights
-Renthal ultra light 520 front and rear sprocket (stock gearing)
-RK Gold 530 chain
-Modified ZX9R 4 to 1 header, header wrap from collector to canister
-Hand made canister
-New Pilot powers 190/50's Better profile
-Bar End mirrors
-636 rear shock with Pro-tech internals and dog bones
-636 complete front setup with por-tech internals
-suspension set up to 1 1/8th sag (I ride pretty aggressive)
-Full 636 radial brake setup with EBC HH pads
-Deglazed front rotors
-06 zx10r front fender that I covered in Aircraft grade carbon fiber
-relocated the plate under the ECU backing plate with LED lights above it.
-Redone all the LED accents lights and have them setup with a wireless remote. So no switch!!

Next on the list
-zx10r rear sets
-Steering stabilizer
-zx9r fly wheel/stator/cover
Then it's done!!! For now. lol

While My bike was parked at the show I had to ride so I borrowed the wife GS500 to scrub in her new front tire....Then I realized just how fun those bikes were to ride. lol I am in front of the 600 race bike. I was haveing to lift my knee up so I wouldn't touch. Didn't have my suit on because I didn't think i was going to ride hard. lol

Very, very nice, bro! Looks great - really clean. If it was mine, I would powdercoat those wheels a shiny black... Otherwise, it is sweet looking!
