Can someone tell me how much the stock wheels weigh? I was looking around and could not find bst wheels for the z1000 do they not make any? Or would another make and model work from another bike?
I have BST wheels on my 2003. You have to get the ones for the ZX1000 and modify the spacers (make new ones). Never had the chance to weigh the stock rims alone. But going from STK rims with Bridgestone bt101 to the BST wheels and pilot tires, The weight savings was about 14 lbs for the set. All I can say is, all you read about the difference the BST wheels make is true. The bike feels more nimble than an R6.
nice bike mate,i see u have a 636 front end on it,is that the std z1000 mudguard fitted to it,only asking cause i'm getting a front end soon and would like to reuse my front mudguard if i could, thanks
From what I have found from setting up a parts list for my new Zed, depending on what year model, they are available. I will be getting a set for mine as soon as possible. Had BST's before and they are simply amazing. On average they are around 40% the weight of stock wheels.
