Just wondering what is the average miles/km's people get out of a front set of pads?
I've done just over 8000km & their down to about 2mm.
The manual says they should be changed when they get to 1mm.

Depends on a bunch of different factors really. If you hardly ever downshift, then you will not get quite as much life out of them as you would if you downshifted a little more.

Sometimes you read people having to replace their pads under 10k and others you here say they are still on their original pads at 20k, so it really all depends on how you ride.

Thanks guys.
Weekdays are spent commuting & downshifting a lot, but weekends,,, that's a different matter!!!
Hard riding with friends through twisty mountain roads.
You know the type. fast up to the corner, brake late & hard & just drop the bike over & power around!

I am @ 26000 miles on the original pads from '03. I will be changing them about mid-season I believe.
