So i picked up a Power Commander 3 the other day, have yet to install it, and before i do, what map is everyone running with it?
any suggestions or helpfull hits would be awsome, this is my first time doin all this!

Bike is a stock 2003 z1000 with the dan moto carbon fiber exhaust.

Dynojet's generic maps work good. I'm running the Two Brothers slip on/aftermarket air filter with and airbox mod map downloaded form them and it has been doing GREAT for over 4,000 miles.

I also have a 2003 with Dan moto GP style carbon fibber exhaust and K&N air filter and dynojet power commander PC 3 have yet to find a good map on the Dynojet web sit to make the bike run real good!!! Im close to just running it on a dyno and have it set up by a Dynojet programmer !!!

Any news on the a Danmoto Map? Ordered my PCIII Last night......Just looking for the best map. I realize that a Danmoto map would probably have to be custom made, but are there any maps for slip-ons that are like Danmoto?

Best map would be to go and get a custom tune done on a Dyno...

back when i had a kawa ZRX [carbs ] this guy was GOD. he also does re mapping. he will only be happy with a kit when he rides the bike for over a week and is 100% happy with the mapping. since you already have a PC 3 he might charge you for the mapping. look at his dyno charts for the 03 Z1000.

here u go. Z File Depot - Z1000 Power Commander Maps the ivans to 4250, micron on top is the best map i found on there until u get one custom made.

I know this is old but I have a stock 03 z1000 and I was wondering how the bike runs with the danmoto carbons?? I want to get them but I can't afford a power commander for another couple months. Is there any loss of low end with the carbons? Back pressure issues?

if u just put slipons on ur bike, u shouldnt need a power commander.

Dan Moto

I have the Dan Moto slip on GPs and I really like them. Make sure that you get the baffles with them or else it is obnoxiously loud. i got a pc3 and am getting it custom tuned soon. It may not be necessary to have a pc3 with slip ons but removing the cats definitely let the bike breathe different and getting a tune will make your bike run a lot better. I suggest to just get the dan motos and run them until you find the money for a power commander. it won't hurt it.

i agree with sycotuck, a pc properly tuned will definately make it run better.

I have an 03 z1000 as well and just put the danmoto carbon pipes on it. No baffles. True they are load, but mean. It growls. Sounds awesome. But I think imam going to get a pciii as I feel my milage is worse as well as low end is a bit worse.

As of now just the danmoto pipes. Not sure what mods I should be doing. I figure I'd do the airbox mod soon, and was thinking of doing a throttle kit mod as well as maybe going +2 in the rear.
Any suggestions (that won't break the bank) and I am all ears.

disabling your secondaries wont cost anything. give u alot more bottom end power.
