I've decided to sell (if i get the right price) my 2005 Z. I had minimal luck on the other Kawasaki Forum site, but i'm hoping for better luck this go round. Here are the specifics........

100% stock 2005 Z1000. Bike has less than 3,000 miles and I have owned it for more than 4 years. I average less than 500 miles/year and the bike has never been ridden hard, laid over, or driven in the rain. Bike has a tail clean up kit, frame sliders, bar end mirrors, and rear swing arm spools. I also have two windscreens as well as the rear seat cover.

I'm tired of tire kickers and young kids with no $$ that keep wasting my time. I'm willing to let the bike go for +/- $4,750, which i believe is a heck of a deal. Flawless bike at a sweet price. Shoot me a message if interested.

I like your bike. That being said, I think you should get what you think its worth. In my opinion though, even though you've got a nice low mileage specimen there, you might have a hard time unless you're closer to the $4,000 mark for a first gen. I know it's a nice ride, but the first gens usually don't sell for more than $4,000, at least not around MN. I paid $4,000 for my "03 last spring with a complete bag set, pluig screen, cowl, and a brand new Pirelli rear tire.

Sure, yours is newer and lower miles, but honestly, people see a first gen and they see a first gen, regardless of the year or miles. :2cents:

Good luck with the sale. Hope you're not getting out of riding totally!

Nice bike!

It's all about finding the right buyer. Just make it real clear in your ads that's got very low mileage which is getting harder and harder to find on a first gen. Eventually someone will come along and you may want to adjust your price a little lower as well, maybe around $4400 or so.
