Hey... any of you SoCal Z1000 owners want to do a ride this weekend? Either 12/11 or 12/12. It's supposed to be really nice... sunny and mid-80's.

I did a really cool ride last weekend on my DR650 that I'm considering repeating this weekend on the Z, just without the couple of dirt stretches. It runs from where I live in Colton, down through Hemet, Aguanga, Warner Springs, Hwy 79 down to 78, around and through the Anza-Borrego Desert State Wilderness, and back. We could even go from there over to the Lake Henshaw and Palomino Mountain area. It looks to be a 200+ mile trip that will take most of the day with breaks and lunch and gas stops.

I don't go particularly fast.. I hang near the speed limit but still have fun on the curves.

Any takers?

i am not into very long all day rides most of the time. i will be going to the OC MOTO.COM rock store ride Sunday. my best friend is also going. the rock store ride will be great. about a 300 mole round trip for you. i do not know if my friend is taking his 2010 Z 1000 or one of his other bikes. m-f 8-5 714 6300336 john

The high here in Rome,GA will be 58% Saturday so aim going to ride maybe to fort Mt.

perfect day

well so cal was at its best Sunday. it was a cloudless 85 deg today. did a 200 mile ride with 40 other sport bikes to the world fam ROCK STORE. life is good. 2 older ZEDs in the pack including me.

Yeah I saw the photos of all the bikes and saw yours... easy to spot being lime green! I saw the other one too. But no "new" ones to represent.

So have you decided if you're gonna ride or drive to the show next weekend?

mulholand dr in malibu . it is not your avg bike hang out. mostly sport bikes new and old. people stand around and look and ask questions. not a place to go get drunk on your HD. a few do.
