Too many examples around to be a one off made up deal. Nothing on the Akra site though. Would be nice to lose that huge collector underneath.
this is what i have found so far View attachment 37626
Ok this pipe is the Akrapovic full racing system, its costs $1,042 in USD
from Surf Side Moto... Its an awesome bit of gear mate, however keep this in mind.
You need to purchase a PCV or a PCV with AutoTune.
The pipe will save considerable weight by getting rid of the Catalyctic Converter
crap box..
The other thing is will you be using more fuel, since the Z1 only has a 15ltr tank.
Im currently saving for the Akra slip ons, they are just as good and cost $1,016 USD
from the same place...

All the best in your decision, dont mess around with pissy pipes
just get the Akra its an awesome sound..:)
They will also give you an extra 7 HP...
Done a bit of digging about the 4-2-2. Apparently, with the 4-2-1 system on the Ninja 1000, you can't fit the OEM Panniers on. The 4-2-2 system was designed with that in mind and will enable fitting of the Panniers. According to the local Akra supplier here, it's not an off the shelf thing, but can be special ordered in. Obviously will fit a Z1000 just as well as the Ninja.

Would be interested to see what the Power/Torque curves are between the 4-2-2 and the 4-2-1 and if they're any different.
I e-mailed Akrapovic tech and they told me that you can get the 4-2-2
Wanna know bout power/torque diff between 4-2-2 and 4-2-1 too

here are the power figures for you guys to consider..:eek:ccasion:

Akrapovic 2010-2011 Kawasaki Z1000 Hexagonal Racing Full Exhaust Full Racing
The power increase with the Akrapovic Single Hexagonal Racing Full Exhaust System for the 2010-2011 Kawasaki Z1000 is substantial and can be seen from 5000 rpm right to the top of the range. At 10250 rpm, Akrapovic measured 141.2 HP with a maximum power increase of 14.1 HP at 10300 rpm.

Akrapovic 2010-2011 Kawasaki Z1000 Dual Hexagonal Slip-On Exhaust Dual slip on's
Akrapovic measured a maximum power increase of 3.7 HP at 10200 rpm

As I said before think carefully about the path you choose to take.

The full racing exhaust will give you more power, but how much more do you really need
seriously this bike puts out alot of torque, anyhow its a personal decision each one should make for himself.
If you are apower hungry go ahead and dooo it.. as you pump out more power the bike uses more fuel and will limit your distance riding...

All the best and your feedback is appreciated...

Nice photo hey...:) these are the Titanium which is my preference.

Yes we are talking about a full 4-2-2 exhaust. What I found out is the 4-2-1 wont fit the z1000sx/ninja with bags. So they made the 4-2-2 to fit the ninja/z1000sx thats the story folks. I want one bad so any donation will be appreciated Thanks Zephyrboy
That's a 4-2-1 vs Slip ons. We're talking about 4-2-2 Full system.
Ok my bad dude, should read better heyy..
My understanding is Akrapovic does not make the 4-2-2 Full system.
I have not seen any on the net for the Z1.

If you find one then send us all the link...
Would you believe the Akrapovic factory is in Ljubljana which is near Croatia. Amazing that such a quality product comes from there.:eek:ccasion:
There's plenty of pics on Youtube and the exploded diagram is on page 1 of this thread. Any Akra dealer can order it in.

My understanding is Akrapovic does not make the 4-2-2 Full system.
Robhor researched this a year ago. The "system" doesn't exist as a "system". You have to order the racing header and then get the slipons to go with it. It costs about $300-$400 more than the single sided Akra system.

I will try to find the work Robhor did, but it is over on riderforums and rather late, so it might not be for another day or two.
