Is the front end on the 2010 a little too aggressive? Let me know your thoughts.

I love the front end. I like how the air intakes wrap around the forks. I like how the angles are sharp, but flow really well together. The color scheme in the front looks great as well. I might have changed up the windshield a little bit.
Is there such thing as "too aggressive"?

I dont think it is too aggressive at all - in fact, thats what made me fall in love with the thing - just how aggressive it looks, even sitting at a standstill!
Ya I have to agree, there is no such thing!!!

Its just perfect!
I do like the looks of it, but still prefer my 2nd cause well, it's mine and I can't afford a 3rd gen right now :). First 4 things I would change on a 3rd gen however are: mirrors to barends, silencers, undertail and the weird covers on the forks.
BigSexy, I agree on most of your posts, fork protectors, mirrors, bar ends can go, the pipes and tail (after undertail) I like, the front I would like to swap with an 84 Ninja 900 (even though it's close).

I do not belive there is really.
The aggressive look fits the image of the bike. I love it.
had a guy on a 750 nighthawk compliment me yesterday. he said" good lookin bike looks fast" i said" not real fast but real quick, it'll only do 150." he said" that's fast enough." i said" not really." my question is how fast is fast enough? ( may be rhetorical.)
Like you said, Rick, "quick" and "fast" are very different things. I'm more interested in getting up to speed than I am with top speed. So, 150 is more than fine, especially when it's tough enough holding on after 120!

The fork protectors are gross! Not so sure about the 84 Ninja front end though. I am not a fan of the windshield either.
hey ben, that's why i'm going to check into sprockets after my exhaust and pcv and a/f mod. want to balance the power. getting there is the fun. no fun running at real high speed on nakeds. just ask me i'll tell you.
I don't expect that you'll need to swap sprockets, but I could be wrong. My Z won't power wheelie unless I'm really trying to make it happen. I'm sure it'll be fun for you to find out if you need it, though. Yeehaw!
I love the look of the front end, the whole bike. I do get allot of folks telling me "hey you have a headlight out"!" I just nod my head and grin most of the time. It's kinda nice that folks are attentive though. I do like the new 2011 black wheels. Gotta get some red wheel stripes!

Thats the main reason i bought it, was looking at CB1000R, FZ1-N and the SuperDuke R before i finally decided kawasaki was closest to my heart(my sisters ex-boyfriend had a ZX12R many years ago and it made an impact).

Well back to topic, none of the bikes mentioned above appealed me, except the SuperDuke that looks pretty agressive (but damn it has the most uncomfortable seat in the world). But none of them can compare to the (if you have a huge amount of imagination  ) massive bull the 2010 Z1000 looks like :D

Im really satisfied with my purchase (the only thing i can complain about is the carbon fibre Akra's, not enough sound in them).
..... "hey you have a headlight out"!" ...
That bugs me alot (why make two reflectors but only one lit? makes no sense, at least to me it doesnt).

Well well. im converting mine to H4 bulbs.
am patiently waiting for my full mzzy 4 into one. almost bought slip ons but read so much on here about sound decided to wait for full exhaust. supposed to be 2 weeks. it's hard to wait, but....

Does changing to a 4-1 system require anything else? (like airfilter, mapping etc)

You need a power commander map. Air filter is optional but will help you eek out a bit of extra performance at the expense of filtering.
i'm getting all three. i've never used bmc before , but have used k&n for years. no loss of filtering with them. not sure about bmc. these new bikes are very lean down low( i'd guess to pass epa) and very rich on top. i guess they figure thats where we'll be riding most. that explains what i thought was a lean surge just off idle. also notice it at 3800 to 4000 when riding with my grandson and son. slow is the rule.
